High)...all-state, all-district, all-parish, all-Acadiana...named the
defensive MVP on both the all-parish and the all-Acadiana teams...during
career made 117 tackles and eight pass interceptions...also caused four
fumbles and recovered two fumbles and scored five touchdowns...football,
basketball and track letterman...4.5 speed in the 40

LAWRENCE DARBY, DB...5-10, 175...Covington, LA (Covington
High)....all-state two seasons, all-district, all-parish,
all-metro....disstrict, parish and regional MVP...played on USA all-star
football team...pre-season all-American..played wide receiver and
defensive back in high school...25 catches for 465 yards and 14
tds...career defensive stats of 205 tackles, 14 pass interceptions, five
blocked kicks...returned there kickoffs for tds and four punt returns
for tds..also all-district in track...placed third in state meet in 100
and 200 meter runs

ROBERT HOOKER, DT...6-1, 260...DeQuincy, LA (DeQuincy High)...two-time
all-state honoree..also three times all-district...twice all-SW
Louisiana...district MVP on defense in 2000 and SW LA defensive MVP in
2000..also basketball and track (shot put) letterman...all-district in
basketball

JOHN PAUL JONES, DT....6-3, 300...Lafayette, LA (Carencro
High)...originally signed with LSU..attended La-Lafayette but did not
play...three year letterman in football and track (shot put)..named to
prep all-America, all-state, all-district and all-Acadiana
teams...during career made 168 tackles, 21 sacks, 45 tackles behind
line...intercepted a pass and returned it for a td and had two blocked
kicks...has 4.9 speed in the 40

KENNETH MARTIN, WR....6-1, 185...New Orleans, LA (Karr High)...named to
all-district team twice...all-parish..last year caught 36 passes for 784
yards and 10 touchdowns..named to USA Global all-star team....great
hands with the gift of catching the football over the top of
defenders...4.5 speed in the 40...three year letterman


JASON MILLER, TB/FB...5-11, 200...Iota, LA (Iota High School)...named
Mr. Football of Louisiana for 2001..was the MVP of the state playoffs
for 1999 and 2001...also all-state, all-district,all-parish...MVP for
all-state team, all-SW Louisiana team and all-Acadiana team...named
offensive player of year by Louisiana Football Magazine...last year
rushed for 2859 yards on 389 carries and scored 46 tds...averaged 7.35
yards per carry...in career rushed for 6,589 yards on 1,050 carries for
6.28 average and 102 touchdowns...played on state championship team in
1999 and on runnerup in 2001...also lettered in track and
baseball..state champion last year in discus and was fourth in
javelin...three times all-district in baseball...father Reggie was a
four year track and field letterman at McNeese

JOSH MILLER, OL...6-4, 270, Iowa, LA (Iowa High)...played tight end in
high school and was named to the all-state team as well as twice to the
all-district team....big reason for Iowa's complete turnaround over the
last two seasons...in senior season caught five pases for 100
yards..four year letterman in track and three years lettered in football

TERRANCE MOSES, TB...5-10, 190....Baton Rouge, LA (Southern Lab
High)...all-state, all-district, all-metro honors...rushed for 1,655
yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior and earned all-state honors..rushed
for 1,300 yards and 18 tds as a soph and for 1,010 yards and 11 tds as a
senior...also a track letterman....honor roll student...4.6 speed in the

BRANDON PAYNE, DB...6-1, 185, Dayton, TX (Dayton High and Blinn
JC)...originally signed with Cowboys out of high school and then went to
Blinn Junior College where last year he recorded seven pass
interceptions...at Dayton High he was an all-state and an all-district
performer....also a basketball and track letterman and earned
all-district honors in track...4.5 speed in the 40

BRENT POUSSON, OL...6-4, 265, Iota, LA (Iota High)....all-state,
all-district, all-parish and all-SW Louisiana...named to play in the
Louisiana high school all-star game...also named to academic all-state
team..played on state championship team in 1999 and on state runnerup in
2001...three year football letterman and scored a touchdown this past
season...three year track letterman and parish and district champion in
the shot put

RODERICK ROYAL, LB...6-1, 230, Baton Rouge, LA (Glen Oaks High and Univ.
of Florida)...transfer from the University of Florida where he played
one season...was an all-state player two years running at Glen Oaks High
and a Parade all-American honorable mention...four year
letterman...district MVP twice, Metro MVP once..named to all-district
team three times...in senior season he was credited with 110 tackles (85
solos), six sacks, two pass interceptions and 21 tackles for a loss

IVAN STEVENSON, DB....6-0, 180, Lake Charles, LA (Barbe High)...named to
all-state, all-district, all-SW Louisiana teams...also named a Super
Prep all-American and to U.S. Army all-America team...last year had 46
tackles, two pass interceptions and a blocked field goal return for a
touchdown...in career made 119 tackles and had six fumble
recoveries...also used as a running back last year and rushed for 86
yards on 13 carries and one td...has 4.4 speed in the 40...also a track
letterman and earned all-state and all-district honors, running the 100
and 200 meters and 4x100 and 4x200 relays..




DEMARIO TAYLOR, RB...5-8, 190...West Monroe, LA (West Monroe
High)...all-state, all-district, all-Northeast Louisiana...earned
Louisiana Football Magazine award for 2001 season...rushed for 1,515
yads on 284 carries last season and a 6.5 average...caught 21 passes for
386 yards...scored 18 tds running and 4 receiving...standout running
back on state championship team....also track and powerlifting
letterman...state champion two years in powerlifting...4.4 speed in the

CHRIS THOMAS, Athlete...5-8, 170, Slidell, LA (Salmen High)...recruited
as an athlete by the Cowboys..4.4 speed in the 40...named Wendy's player
of week (10 times), Times Picayune player of week (4 times) and
Slidell-Sentry player of week (4 times)..played running back in high
school and rushed for 1,962 yards last year...also rushed for 1,759
yards in 1999 and for 1,523 yards in 2000...had over 800 receiving yards
during career...all-district and all-state...helped lead team to state
title as a junior...also basketball and track letterman..ran on two
school record relay teams..also won a regional power lifting title
