McNeese trails 28 to 27, and drives 95 yards for the go ahead score. Along the way is a curious four yard offside penalty from a missed spot from the SoCon officials, despite the helpful suggestions of the McNeese fans located right on the spot. Note that the play starts exactly on the 10 yard line and both field markers are in the correct spot. At the far end of the line of scrimmage, you can see an ASU defensive lineman jump offsides, yet somehow the ball winds up spotted just inside the six, instead of being a first down and goal.

After two qb sneaks, McNeese gets the first down.

McNeese wins on the road at Appalachian State in a great matchup of two storied FCS football programs.
That's all for the trip to Appalachian State. Now for the long drive home, but I suspect that it won't seem that long.
